Brown Butter Caper Cod

Brown Butter Caper Cod

I love a juicy, flavorful fish recipe. I know most family’s go-to fish is salmon, but I wanted to share something a little different and still approachable: cod. Honestly this recipe would be great with any other white fish like a halibut. This Brown Butter Caper Cod is a simple yet sophisticated dish bursting with rich, nutty, and briny flavor. Flaky cod fillets are pan-seared until golden, then drizzled with a mouth-watering brown butter sauce infused with garlic, fresh lemon juice, and the star of the show: briny capers.

I am a big fish and caper fan, and if you’re like me, top this dish with as many capers as you want and even finish with some of the caper juice. The result is a perfectly balanced dish that feels gourmet but comes together in minutes — ideal for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. Serve it with roasted potatoes or a light salad for a full, satisfying meal.
