Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings flats and wings separated
  • 1 Tbsp flour
Cajun Blend
  • 2 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tsp seasoning salt
Cajun Honey Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley

Method

  1. Clean and separate your chicken wings and flats. Pat dry really well with paper towel, this will help them crisp up.
  2. In a small bowl, add all the seasoning for the cajun blend. Mix very well.
  3. In a large bowl, add chicken and sprinkle ½ of the cajun blend over the chicken and the flour.
  4. Mix chicken well until seasoning and flour is evenly distributed.
  5. Air-fry, bake, or fry chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. For air-fryer, bake a single layer of chicken wings at 400℉ for 15-18 minutes and check periodically.
  6. For the cajun honey sauce, add the butter, honey, apple cider vinegar, and remaining cajun blend to a skillet.
  7. Heat the sauce and whisk it until combined. Set aside.
  8. Add all of the cooked cajun chicken to a large, clean bowl and pour over cajun honey sauce.
  9. Toss cajun honey chicken wings until evenly combined and mix in chopped parsley. Serve chicken wings warm.
